The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University Carbondale hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the roof replacement at Evergreen Terrace project (Bid # E-13375-0007M).

Southern Illinois University is accepting bids to furnish all labor, materials and equipment to remove and dispose of existing shingles, drip edge, felts and flashings and to install new shingles, drip edge, felts and flashings on eleven buildings in Evergreen Terrace.

An award will be issued to the contractor submitting the lowest proposal which meets the intent of the bid documents and specifications.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Thursday, August 9, 2001. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

Bid security (see complete bid for details)
All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A pre-bid meeting to discuss this project will be held on August 1, 2001 at 11 a.m. CDST at the Evergreen Terrace Conference Room.
