The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University Carbondale hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the air handling replacement project (Bid # E13375-0075M).

Southern Illinois University Carbondale will be accepting bids to furnish all labor, material and equipment to remove and replace air-handling unit AHU-S4 in Mae Smith Hall located on the campus of Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, IL.

This project consists of the removal and replacement of air handling unit AHU-S4 and associated ductwork, electrical controls, piping, etc. in Mae Smith Hall.

Contractor will have access to the Building on May 17, 2004. All work must be completed by July 2, 2004.

An award will be issued to the contractor submitting the lowest proposal, which meets the intent of the bid documents.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Tuesday, March 23, 2004. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A pre-bid conference is scheduled for this project at the PSO Conference Room on the SIU Carbondale campus on Friday, March 12, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. CST Attendance is strongly recommended.
