Public Higher Education Bulletin

The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University Carbondale hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the replacement of hot/chilled water piping project .

Southern Illinois University Carbondale will be accepting bids to furnish all material, labor and equipment to remove and replace the existing hot/chilled water piping and associated valves, fittings, specialties, etc. in the basement of Wright and Boomer Halls located on the Carbondale campus.

All work associated with this contract must be completed by August 1, 2002.

An award will be issued to the contractor submitting the lowest proposal that meets the intent of the bid documents and the deadline requirement.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Monday, May 6, 2002. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

• Bid security (see complete bid for details)
• All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A pre-bid meeting to discuss this project will be held on April 25, 2002 at 10 a.m. in the Physical Plant Conference Room.
