The contract amount is an estimated annual expenditure. This award is for the initial period through September 30, 2002 as well as the two additional 1-year renewal periods. The award was based on a percentage of mark up in three areas: material, labor, and sub-contracting. The awardee was granted a contract with the following mark-ups: 10% on material, 54% on labor, 0% on sub-contracting.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the
insulation work on a time and material contract project (Bid # E13375-6700M).
Southern Illinois University is seeking bids for insulation work to include all labor, material, equipment and services on an as needed basis for minor physical facilities projects for the period October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002. The University will have the option to extend the contract one year at a time for two additional one-year periods.
An award will be made to the lowest bidder meeting all the specifications and requirements listed in the bid documents.
Bids will be received up to the hour of
2:00 PM
local time, on
Wednesday, September 19, 2001.
Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.
All bids must include:
- Bid security (see complete bid for details)
- All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the
Illinois Department of Human Rights.
A pre-bid meeting to discuss this project will be held on Monday, September 10, 2001 at 1:30 p.m. CDST in the Physical Plant Conference Room.
