The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University Carbondale hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the Neely Hall window screen replacement project (Bid # E13375-6851M).

Southern Illinois University Carbondale is accepting bids to furnish all labor, material and equipment to provide all general work for the replacement of window screens on Neely Hall, which is a high-rise residence hall.

The work under the contract includes, but shall not necessarily be limited to, the installation of a new vandal resistant screen system as indicated in the bid documents on all windows of the building.

All work is to be commenced on May 19, 2003 or upon written notification to proceed and shall be completed no later than June 27, 2003.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Thursday, March 6, 2003. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.

A pre-bid meeting to dicuss the project will be held on February 26, 2003, at 1:30 p.m. in the Physical Plant Engineering Service's Conference Room.
