The University awarded a contract for prospective student names for recruitment purposes to The College Entrance Examination Board, DBA The College Board, Reston, VA, for an estimated $79,000.
The original order was under the small purchase threshold for a total of $22,000 for the time period of 7/1/10-2/28/11. The change order is for a total of $57,000 for the time period of 3/1/11-6/30/11, which takes the total purchase over the small purchase threshold.
This purchase is only economically available from a single source because the
vendor provides specific college entrance testing (SAT, SAT2, and PSAT) to prospective students. These names are used for student recruitment.

A public hearing will be held at which interested parties may testify for or against
the sole source determination as described in this notice. The purpose of the hearing
is to receive information from the public in a reasonable manner. Formal rules of
evidence will not apply.
The hearing panel will produce minutes of the hearing and may record it in order
to aid in the production of the minutes. Interested parties wishing to comment
for or against the determination may do so in writing or in person. If you wish
to testify, prior registration is requested to ensure adequate time is allowed for all parties.
