The University awarded a contract for Trillium seismometers and Tarus Digital systems to Nanometrics, Incorporated, Kanata, Ontario, Canada, for an estimated $76,250.
The University intends to purchase 4 Trillium seismometers, which are 3-component with cable, along with 4 Taurus Digital Acquisition systems, which is also a 3 component, 24 bit, with GPS antenna and cable. This purchase will also include 4 carrying cases, leveling cradles, and leveling spikes kits with two indoor power supplies, 4 compact flashes, 4GB, removable, and 4 transport and deployment systems with solar panels. Battery will also be included.
This purchase is only economically available from a single source because the
compatibility of equipment, accessories, replacement parts, or service is a paramount consideration.
