Comments: The initial award of the $750,000 included an approximate $150,000 for each year including the two years of the potential renewal. The actual amount spent so far, in the first three years of the agreement, is a total of approximately $120,000 instead of the $450,000 estimated, because the University has chosen to mostly incinerate the waste on campus instead of having the chosen vendor dispose of it. The estimated amount that will be spent during the renewal period is approximately $100,000. In addition, the original awarded vendor, Pollution Control Industries, Inc., has been purchased by Tradebe Treatment & Recycling LLC.
The State Purchasing Officer for this procurement is now Steve Todt.

The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.
