The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University is seeking proposals from nationally recognized law firms experienced in the field of municipal bonds to provide counseling and transactional representation to the University in the area of municipal debt financing and related services. The University is authorized to issue tax exempt debt and had $273 million of revenue bonds and $31 million of Certificates of Participation outstanding at June 30, 2014. There are two revenue bond systems within the University and revenue bond facilities on each of the University�??s two main campuses and its Medical School.
A pre-submission conference will be held May 13, 2015 at 2:00 PM. The call in number is 877-937-7966, passcode 1398794. Questions regarding technical requirements will not be answered during this call and should be submitted as directed in 1.4. This teleconference is to discuss State of Illinois requirements for submission of the solicitation only. Please have the solicitation document available for reference purposes. Attendance is highly recommended.
