The University's goal is to award a ten-year contract to a qualified bookstore concession operator who will work cooperatively with the University to implement its goals for a campus bookstore with a negotiated start date of summer semester 2013. Full scope of work and time table for the renovation must be submitted no later than May 31, 2013 and all work must be completed by the start of the 2013 fall semester, August 18, 2013. Each respondent must provide a proposal based upon these terms. However, the University will also consider alternative contract terms as part of an overall financial package.
A proposers’ conference consisting of a question and answer session and facility tour will be held in the Student Center on the Carbondale campus at 9:30 A.M. on February 7, 2013. ATTENDANCE AT THIS PROPOSERS’ CONFERENCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. This conference will be held in the Mackinaw Room on the second floor of the Student Center. All questions asked during the conference will be answered in writing and posted to the Illinois Public Higher Education Procurement Bulletin. At the conclusion of the proposers’ conference, a tour of the bookstore space and storage area will be offered.
