Southern Illinois University Carbondale Center for Workforce Development wishes to hire a technical solutions architect and lead personnel with expertise in SharePoint 2013 mobile and web portal applications. The successful bidder will be required to work directly with the Center for Workforce Development technical and program staff onsite at the office located in Springfield, Illinois. The projects and timelines are listed in Section 1.4 of the attached document.
A vendor conference consisting of a question and answer session and facility tour will be held at the SIU Center for Workforce Development office located at 2450 Foundation Drive, Suite 100, Springfield, Illinois at 1:00 PM on January 9, 2015. ATTENDANCE IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. All questions asked during the conference will be answered in writing and posted to the Illinois Public Higher Education Procurement Bulletin.
Registration for conducting business with the State of Illinois: (30 ILCS 500/20-43) Sec. 20-43. Bidder or offeror authorized to do business in Illinois. In addition to meeting any other requirement of law or rule, a person (other than an individual acting as a sole proprietor) may qualify as a bidder or offeror under this Code only if the person is a legal entity authorized to do business in Illinois prior to submitting the bid, offer, or proposal. Do not confuse this requirement with the Board of Elections certification. If you do $50,000 worth of business annually with the State of Illinois, including the state universities, you are required to register with the State Board of Elections and obtain from them a certificate confirming your registration. Responses to Invitations to Bid, Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, and all other types of procurement solicitations are included in the calculation of this $50,000 annual amount, whether you receive a resulting award or not. If you do less than $50,000 worth of business annually, you may be exempt from the registration requirement.
The University will be closed for the Christmas holiday from December 25, 2014 through January 4, 2015.
