Southern Illinois University Carbondale requests proposals from responsible vendors for the supply and transport of natural gas to the Ameren Illinois gas distribution system at the Carbondale "citygate" from the pipelines that may deliver to the Carbondale area for use at the SIU Carbondale campus including the Power Plant.
There will be a pre-bid conference to discuss the State of Illinois requirements on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 10:00AM CDST. Any technical questions should be sent via e-mail to the contact provided in the request for proposal documents. This will be a phone conference. The number to call is 877-937-7966 with the participant passcode being #1398794. Participation for this pre-bid conference is highly recommended.
Registration for conducting business in the State of Illinois (30 ILCS 500/20-43) Sec. 20-43: Bidder or offeror authorized to do business in Illinois. In addition to meeting any other requirement of law or rule, a person (other than an individual acting as a sole proprietor) may qualify as a bidder or offeror under this Code only if the person is a legal entity authorized to do business in Illinois prior to submitting the bid, offer, or proposal. Board of Elections: Public Act 095-0971, which became effective on January 1, 2009, requires vendors to register with the State Board of Elections before bidding on any State contract that exceeds $50,000. Registration is also required for all vendors currently holding and/or bidding on State contracts that in the aggregate exceed $50,000 in value.

(IDHR) eligibility number is required on all proposals, if applicable. There is no BEP goal for this procurement.
