The University awarded a contract for service and materials for a chilled water system to Johnson Controls, Incorporated, Springfield, IL, for
an estimated $200,000
The University has standardized on the Johnson Controls "Metasys" building automation system, which uses the Johnson Controls N2 protocol. This system is currently operating in numerous buildings across the SIUC campus. The new components will operate with the proprietary N2 protocol and the open BACnet protocol.
This procurement is pending Board of Trustees approval.
This purchase is only economically available from a single source because the
compatibility of equipment, accessories, replacement parts, or service is a paramount consideration.
