The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University Carbondale hereby requests sealed bids for construction work on the geothermal loop installation project.

This project is being re-bid to furnish all labor, material and equipment for the construction of a geothermal loop for the new Library Storage Facility to be located on McLafferty Road in Carbondale, IL. The contractor shall provide necessary drilling, trenching, and site work as necessary to install a geothermal piping system. All work shall be done as called for and noted on drawings and specifications titled, "Geothermal Loop for the New Library Storage Building," dated July 21, 2004, as prepared by Physical Plant Engineering Services to be provided with bid packets.

An award will be issued to the contractor submitting the lowest proposal, which meets the intent of the bid documents.

Bids will be received up to the hour of 2:00 PM local time, on Tuesday, September 28, 2004. Immediately after closing time for receiving bids, they will be opened publicly and read.

All bids must include:

  • Bid security (see complete bid for details)
  • All bidders must submit a PC-2 form as required by the Illinois Department of Human Rights.
