Project Description
Southern Illinois University Carbondale is seeking letters of interest from qualified architectural and engineering firms to provide a professional service retainer contract for civil structural and construction testing services.

The Engineering firm is to provide professional services on an open-ended basis for a term not to exceed eight (8) years or $5,000,000, whichever expires first. There would not be any guarantee of work assigned. Services would be performed on an as needed basis during the contract period. The following are some, but not all of the typical services that could be required by the professional Engineer selected: a variety of engineering studies, site and facility condition inspections and assessments, project development, project designs, construction contract bidding assistance, construction contract oversight and testing services, and other engineering requirements.

Registration for conducting business in the State of Illinois (30 ILCS 500/20-43) Sec. 20-43: Bidder or offeror authorized to do business in Illinois. In addition to meeting any other requirement of law or rule, a person (other than an individual acting as a sole proprietor) may qualify as a bidder or offeror under this Code only if the person is a legal entity authorized to do business in Illinois prior to submitting the bid, offer, or proposal.   • Submitted 6 copies of their qualifications.
  • Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
  • Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
  • There is no BEP goal for this procurement.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
