Provision of payment for Sofia 2 SARS Antigen FIA (2ST) tests, 8,250 tests at $23/each at 550 tests delivered per week over a period of fifteen (15) weeks. Tests to be shipping directly to SIUE from Quidel Corporation.

The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

The University awarded a contract for COVID-19 Related Screening/Testing.
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) has contracted with Ohio Valley Conference for Sofia 2 SARS Antigen FIA (2ST) tests for student athletes participating in Ohio Valley Conference sanctioned athletics. The Conference has established Quidel Corporation as the official Covid-19 testing supplier for this purpose.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for athletic, artistic or musical services, performances, events, or productions by or for a public institution of higher education. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(4)) $189,750 for the tests required for COVID-19 screenings used in sanctioned athletic competition. This is mandated by the Ohio Valley Conference sanctioning body.
