This Request for Proposal is for the establishment of a contract for loss remediation, restoration, and recovery services to include libraries, museums, research laboratories, classrooms and other facilities located at the Carbondale, Edwardsville, Springfield campuses and various locations throughout the State of Illinois. The UniversityĆ¢??s intent is to contract these services from a high quality provider(s) at a reasonable price. The contractor will be responsible for responding to those events where the services are deemed necessary by the University and shall be responsible for providing services within a minimum of 24-hours from the time of initial contact. The contractor may also be required to provide services such as water extraction, drying of structure and contents, debris removal, demolition, repair, construction work, etc. in order to secure, stabilize, and restore facilities as quickly as possible. Services to be provided for an initial term of three (3) years, with the option of extending the same terms, conditions, and pricing structure for three (3) additional two-(2) year option periods subject to continuing need, availability of funds, and satisfactory service. In addition, the following State of Illinois Public Institutions of Higher Education, at their sole discretion, would be eligible to utilize any contract(s) that may result from the Loss Remediation and Restoration Services RFP: Northern Illinois University.

Submit 5 copies of the response as defined in the specifications. The University reserves the right to accept or reject any and all responses or parts thereof. Vendor may expect payment thirty to sixty days after receipt of invoice, unless otherwise stated in the bid documents. This procurement may be contingent on Board of Trustees approval. Illinois Department of Human Rights (IDHR) eligibility number is required on all proposals, if applicable. There is no BEP goal for this procurement.

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
