Pending approval of the Illinois Board of Higher Education, plans call for enhancement and expansion of the current outdoor recreational facilities to include improvements to the intramural sports fields; addition of another field, lighting and fencing of the field; installation of a lighted golf driving range and putting green with an irrigation system; and construction of a central support building of approximately 1800 square feet. The budget for the project is $700,000.
Firms interested in providing architectural/engineering services for this project should be pre-qualified with the Illinois Capital Development Board with an "architecture" trade code, and a "parks and recreational facilities" experience profile. Please address 6 copies of a letter of interest and statement of qualification to: Mr. Michael Ostrander, Director of Campus Recreation
The following related criteria will be among that used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection: pre-qualification status, location of firm, prior experience with similar projects, appropriate staff size and disciplines, prior performance of the firm and its consultants with completed projects at Southern Illinois University and other clients; and current workload. Proposals should include a complete description of the history, size and capabilities of your firm and a list of the projects which demonstrate your experience with the kind of work we expect to undertake. For each project indicate knowledgeable reference (name, address and telephone number). Please indicate the firm's M/FBE status; the number of staff that will be assigned to this project; the total number of licensed staff to be assigned to this project; name, address and M/FBE status of consulting firms, if any, and percent of work to be completed by consultants.
