The Board of Trustees of the Southern Illinois University governing Southern Illinois University Edwardsville hereby requests sealed proposals from qualified firms to conduct an indoor recreational space needs assessment and feasibility study that would assess the needs, costs and options for expansion of the indoor recreational space of the Student Fitness Center located on the Edwardsville campus of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Submit 5 copies of the original completed and signed RFP. Proposals will be received until 2:30 p.m. prevailing time on February 14, 2002 in the Supporting Services Building, Purchasing Department, Room 1020, Campus Box 1012, Edwardsville, IL 62026. All RFP(s) will be held in confidence by the University. The contents of the RFP(s) will not be made available until after all RFP(s) has been reviewed.
The proposal should include a statement of interest and qualifications of the proposer and should address at least the following points:
1.Provide a complete description of the history, size and capabilities of your firm.
2.Provide a list of the projects which demonstrate your experience with the kind of work we expect to undertake. For each project, indicate: a) the date on which you delivered the final document, b) the degree of your formal involvement in the project (e.g., lead firm, consultant, present member of your firm involved, etc.), and c) a knowledge reference (name, address and telephone number).
3.Describe in detail, your approach to meeting the requirements of the feasibility study.
A pre-proposal walk-through of the facility, for all those interested in submitting proposals on the project will be held on January 31, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at the Student Fitness Center, Southern Illinois University. Representatives of the University will be available to answer questions regarding the project and proposal procedures. All prospective proposers are urged to attend. The group will assemble in lobby of the Student Fitness Center for the walk through.
Statutory Requirements: The successful proposer will be required to comply with all laws, statues, regulations, ordinances, ruling or enactments of any governmental authority which are applicable to the work or to the project.
The University reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
