Scope of work is for architectural/engineering firms interested in providing professional services for the design of the installation of new boiler systems in eleven buildings at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. The project will consist of reviewing an existing study of alternatives and designing a replacement hot water system that would provide for dedicated high efficiency gas fired hot water boilers and gas or electric fired domestic hot water heaters in eleven buildings. After the initial review is completed it is anticipated that drawings and bid specifications will be required for the new boiler systems. The specifications may include the removal of portions of the existing high temperature distribution system in order to accommodate the new boiler systems. The anticipated project budget is approximately $2.7 million.
Firms interested in providing architectural/engineering services for this project should be pre-qualified with the Illinois Capital Development Board. The following related criteria will be among that used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection: pre-qualification status, location of firm, prior experience with similar projects, appropriate staff size and disciplines, prior performance of the firm and its consultants with completed projects at Southern Illinois University and other clients; and current workload. Proposals should include a complete description of the history, size and capabilities of your firm and a list of the projects that demonstrate your experience with this kind of work. For each project, please indicate a knowledgeable reference (name, address and telephone number), the firm's M/FBE status; the number of staff that will be assigned to this project; the total number of licensed staff to be assigned to this project; name, address and M/FBE status of consulting firms, if any, and percent of work to be completed by consultants. Also, please submit a copy of your CDB Pre-qualification Questionnaire and Certificate.
