This project seeks construction management for Phase 1 of a new Athletic Complex to be located along Stadium Drive on the Edwardsville campus.

The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University governing Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) hereby requests letters of interest and statement of qualifications from Construction Management firms interested in providing professional consulting services for the following University project: Varsity Athletic Complex: Phase 1, Wrestling and Volleyball Center SIUE
Phase 1 of the project includes a building for intercollegiate wrestling and volleyball and community-based youth wrestling programs. The program for Phase 1 will meet the standards to serve as a Midwest Olympics Wrestling Training Center and may include a high-tech "smart" classroom. The initial work of the construction manager will be to work with the architect (to be determined) to develop a Feasibility Study for Phase 1 that will include program development, preliminary renderings and floor plans, and preliminary project cost estimates. The design of the project will allow this phase to function independently, but also will allow for future expansion of a more complete varsity athletic complex. The design of the Center will be in accordance with the Campus Design Guidelines, the Campus Land Use Plan, and the 2006 Campus Master Plan.
The successful construction management firm and its subsidiaries will not be allowed to bid on the actual construction of this phase of the project.

The following related criteria will be among that used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection: location of firm, prior experience with similar projects, appropriate staff size and disciplines, prior performance of the firm and/or its consultants with completed projects at SIUE, and current workload.
Proposals should include a complete description of the history, size, and capabilities of your firm, and a list of projects which demonstrate your experience with the kind of work SIUE expects to undertake. For each project, indicate knowledgeable references (name, address and telephone number).
