Project Description
This project provides for a new athletic complex to be located along Stadium Drive on the Edwardsville campus. Phase 1 of the project is a building for intercollegiate wrestling and volleyball and community-based youth wrestling and volleyball programs. The program for Phase 1 will meet the standards to serve as a Midwest Olympics Wrestling Training Center and will include a high-tech "smart" classroom. The initial work of the architect/engineer will be to develop a feasibility study for Phase 1 that will include program development, preliminary renderings and floor plans, and preliminary project cost estimates. The design will allow this phase to function independently, but also will allow for future expansion of a more complete athletic complex. The design of the Center will be in accordance with the Campus Design Guidelines, the Campus Land Use Plan, and the 2006 Campus Master Plan.

The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University governing Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) hereby requests letters of interest and statement of qualifications from architectural/engineering firms interested in providing professional consulting services for the following University project:
Please submit 7 copies of a letter of interest and statement of qualifications to Rich Walker, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Administration, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Campus Box 1158, Rendleman Hall, Room 2228, Edwardsville, IL 62026-1158. There should be no communication with University staff, faculty, or students other than through Rich Walker at (618) 650-2536 or rwalker@siue.edu.
The following related criteria will be among that used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection: CDB pre-qualification status, location of firm, prior experience with similar projects, appropriate staff size and disciplines, prior performance of the firm and/or its consultants with completed projects at SIUE, and current workload.
Proposals should include a complete description of the history, size, and capabilities of your firm, and a list of projects which demonstrate your experience with the kind of work SIUE expects to undertake. For each project, indicate a knowledgeable reference (name, address and telephone number) and a copy of your CDB Pre-qualification Certificate.

- Submitted 7 copies of their qualifications.
- Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
- Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
- Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
- Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
