This project seeks architect services to develop the concept and budget to modify the gymnasium in the SIUE Vadalabene Center to better utilize the existing space by constructing mezzanines on the north and south sides of the gymnasium within the existing space. The areas under the mezzanines will be renovated for offices, restroom expansion, classrooms, and storage space. The tops of the mezzanines will include program space for Kinesiology and Athletics. New retractable bleachers on both levels will replace the existing bleachers. The program also calls for a running track and concession area to be added.
Firms interested in providing such services should submit a team that is able to provide architectural and engineering services, and be pre-qualified with the Illinois Capital Development Board in all of the architectural/engineering disciplines.
