This search seeks a construction management firm to act as an advisor to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville to review various project's program, design, and construction phases for issues such as cost, schedule, constructability, quality control, and site inspections for various campus projects. The initial contract will be written through fiscal year 2008 with the potential for four one-year renewal contracts. Project locations will be at the Edwardsville, East St. Louis, and Alton campuses, and the Springfield properties. Services provided by the selected firm will require integration of multiple projects scheduled at the same time in order to mitigate the adverse impact on the University community. Projects will include both renovation and new construction but not necessarily all of SIUE's projects. A preliminary list of projects is available from Rich Walker at 618-650-2536 or rwalker@siue.edu.
The following criteria will be among the criteria used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection: location of firm, prior CM as Advisor experience, staff size, State and/or higher education experience, and current workload. The selected firm will not be able to bid on upcoming construction projects on which the CM works.
Please submit 5 copies of a letter of interest and statement of qualifications to Mr. Richard Walker, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Administration, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Campus Box 1158, Edwardsville, IL 62026-1158 or delivered to Rendleman Hall, Room 2228. There should be no communication with University staff, faculty, or students other than through Rich Walker at (618) 650-2536 or rwalker@siue.edu.
Proposals should include a complete description of the history, size and capabilities of the firm and a list of projects which demonstrate the firm's level of experience. For each project indicate a knowledgeable reference (name, address and telephone number.
SIUE is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer
Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
