The Board of Trustees of the Southern Illinois University governing Southern Illinois University Edwardsville hereby requests sealed bids to furnish all labor, equipment, tools and materials to remove wood flooring and related components of Court 1 in the Student Fitness Center. Install new wood floor with metal sleeper system to match the existing system and align with the existing wood floor. Paint basketball, volleyball and two badminton court markings on floor prior to applying seal coats. Reinstall badminton court metal sleeves and install owner furnished volleyball sleeves in wood floor.
A mandatory pre-bid conference for all those interested in bidding the project will be held on April 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Supporting Services Building. Representatives of the University will be present to answer questions regarding the project and bidding procedures. All prospective bidders are required to attend. All representatives must be in the conference room of the Supporting Services by 10:10 and must stay for the entire meeting and site visit. All contractors are required to sign in and sign out after site visit. If contractor is late or leaves before the completion of the meeting or site visit, the contractor will not be considered attending the pre-bid conference.
All questions must be faxed or e-mailed to Shelly Albert, email@example.com, by April 22, 2009, 12:00 p.m. Questions submitted after this date may not receive a response. Answers to all questions will be addressed in the form of an addendum and will be sent to all plan holders and plan houses. Questions should not be addressed to any other SIUE representative. If contact of any kind occurs with any other representative, this will be grounds for disqualification.
