This project seeks architect services to develop plans to construct a Multi-Discipline Laboratory in order to install patient simulator equipment for dental students on the Alton campus. The working estimate for this project is $4.1 million. The new construction must complement the existing historical nature of the campus.
Firms interested in providing such services should submit a team that is able to provide architectural and engineering services, and be pre-qualified with the Illinois Capital Development Board in all of the architectural/engineering disciplines.
The following related criteria will be among those used to evaluate the firms and/or teams requesting consideration for selection: location of firm, prior experience with similar projects, staff size, related State experience, team structure, current workload, and history of accurate cost information. Proposals should include a complete description of the history, size and capabilities of the submitting firm and a list of projects which demonstrate the firm's level of experience. For each project indicate a knowledgeable reference (name, address and telephone number). As a part of the submission, each team member company must include a copy of their CDB Pre-qualification Certificate, a copy of the CDB 255 form for the architect and the engineer, and a copy of the submitting firm's State Board of Elections Registration Certification.
Please submit six (6) copies of a letter of interest and statement of qualifications to Mr. Richard Walker, Assistant Vice Chancellor for Administration, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, Campus Box 1158, Edwardsville, IL 62026-1158 or delivered to Rendleman Hall, Room 2228. To avoid disqualification, there should be no communication with University staff, faculty, or students other than through Rich Walker at (618) 650-2536 or rwalker@siue.edu.
