Project Description
The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University governing Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, hereby requests letters of interest and a statement of qualifications from firms interested in providing services for hazardous materials design engineering and consulting services (including, but not limited to asbestos, lead, and pcb) for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville during fiscal year 2012 (July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012) with the potential/option to renew for a four-year consecutive renewal. The project locations will be at the Edwardsville, East St. Louis, and Alton campuses, and the Springfield properties. Services that will be provided by the selected firm will include, but not be limited to, the following: project design and preparation of bid specifications; construction monitoring and clearance of abatement activities; air monitoring.

Firms must be a licensed hazardous materials design consultant in the State of Illinois. The following project-related criteria will be used to evaluate the consulting firms requesting consideration for selection: location of firm, prior firm experience with similar projects, appropriate staff size and disciplines, and prior performance of firm and its consultants with completed projects at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville or with other state agencies. For other project experience, indicate a knowledgeable reference (name, address and telephone number).

The attached enclosures must be included with one copy of the submittal. Enclosures must be submitted with this notice even if the enclosures have been submitted previously with other notices.

- Submitted 6 copies of their qualifications.
- Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
- Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
- Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
