The University awarded a contract for upgrade of existing fire sprinkler system.
This emergency/quick purchase was required due to a situation in which
public health or safety was threatened.
The current fire sprinkler system in the existing Art & Design Building does not meet the Code. The current system is a light hazard system typical for an office building. The Art & Design Building should be protected for the industrial activities that occur. Currently the building is vacant and must be available for students to attend classes in August.
