All front-end documents for bids let by SIUe include the following standard boiler-plate language: "In support of the Business Enterprise for Minority, Female and Persons with Disabilities Act (MAFBE; 30 ILCS 575 et seq., as amended) the University has established the goal of 20% of its contracts to be awarded to minority (11%), female (7%), and disabled (2%) businesses. University encourages minority, female and disabled business enterprises to compete for and participate in University contracts. The goals can be met by means of contracts let directly to minority, female and disabled business firms by University or indirectly by Proposer’s ordering goods or services from minority, female and disabled firms when suppliers or subcontractors are needed to fulfill the Contract." However, this is a goal and not a requirement. The awardee has not indicated that they meet BEP requirements. The funding used for this project was not such that BEP utilization was required.
The University award process may be delayed up to thirty days as this award goes through a state approval process.

The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University governing Southern Illinois University Edwardsville hereby requests sealed quotes for the following services: SIUE Health Service Department is seeking quotes from qualified firms on a locum tenens basis physician to provide advisory, consulting, reporting, and/or related services to the students, faculty and staff of the SIUE community.
Southern Illinois University expects the Bidder to provide medical coverage for SIUE Health Service patients which includes students, faculty, and staff.
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville requires that the Bidder be a graduate of an accredited University or medical program. The Bidder must hold a current medical license with the State of Illinois with no recent disciplinary status with the Illinois Department of Registration or Education or the American Medical Association. Physicians must hold a current Controlled Substance Permit or license, current CPR or ACLS certification and possess all legal requirements and qualifications necessary to perform the duties as stated.
Bid quotes shall be executed and submitted on the form/s provided therefore by the Director of Purchasing of Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
The successful bidder will be required to comply with all laws, statutes, regulations, ordinances, rulings or enactments of any governmental authority which are applicable to the work or to the project. The successful bidder shall pay current prevailing wage rates as posted on the Illinois Department of Labor’s website and shall utilize equal employment opportunity hiring practices in connection with this project. The University reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
