Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) intends to issue contracts for the upgrade of the Campus Electrical Distribution System in Edwardsville, Illinois. Due to the unique nature of the work on critical University infrastructure, contractors who wish to submit a bid for the Electrical Construction Contract are required to prequalify to participate in the solicitation. This solicitation-specific prequalification is in addition to the existing SIUE Purchasing prequalification statement. The solicitation bid package will be available at a later date.
In order to prequalify for the Electrical Construction Contract solicitation, contractors shall submit a maximum of five construction projects completed within the past ten years that best demonstrate their experience on relevant projects of similar size, scope, and complexity. Ongoing projects may be included if currently over 90% complete as determined by total payments received divided by current contract amount. A relevant project is defined as being similar in scope to the planned Campus Electric Distribution Upgrade.
The attached Construction Experience Data Sheet must be used to submit project information. The length of the Data Sheet shall not exceed two pages for each project. Information submitted in addition to the attached Data Sheet, and projects submitted in excess of the maximum of five projects, will not be considered. The Data Sheet may be saved as an Adobe file for submission.
Qualification of the contractor will be determined based on the relevancy of experience and satisfactory performance as described by the owners, construction managers, or architect-engineer firms involved with the projects, who may be contacted by the University.
The University may seek and use contractor experience and performance information from other sources and projects in addition to that submitted by the contractor.
