Project Description
The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University governing Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) hereby requests letters of interest and statement of qualifications from engineering firms interested in providing third-party consulting services for the building envelope commissioning for the 5,200 sf weight room expansion project and the Art & Design East Window Replacement project on the Edwardsville campus. The University reserves the right to award a contract for one or both of the projects but does not commit itself to award any contract if so warranted. The University also reserves the right to award to one or multiple firms.

Qualifications and supporting materials will be accepted at the address below until 4:00 PM, Friday September 26, 2014:

The following related criteria will be among those used to evaluate the firms and/or teams requesting consideration for selection: location of firm, prior experience with similar projects, staff size appropriate to the scope, related State experience, team structure, current workload, BEP status, and history of accurate cost information. Proposals should include a complete description of the history, size and capabilities of the submitting firm and a list of projects which demonstrate the firm's level of experience. For each project indicate a knowledgeable reference (name, address and telephone number). As a part of the submission, each team member must include a copy of their CDB Pre-qualification Certificate and a copy of their CDB 255 form. Attachments to the 255 form are allowed.
To avoid disqualification, there should be no communication regarding the scope of this project with University staff, faculty, or students other than through Rich Walker at (618) 650-2536 or rwalker@siue.edu.
Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered: Submit one copy of the Contract Certification, Financial Disclosure Form, IL DHR form, Insurance Checklist, Iran Statement, Authority to do business in the State of Illinois, and the State Board of Elections Certificate for the lead submitter; Submit 5 copies of their qualifications; Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.

  • Submitted 5 copies of their qualifications.
  • Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
  • Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • There is no BEP goal for this procurement.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
