Project Description
The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University governing Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) hereby requests letters of interest and statement of qualifications from engineering firms interested in providing hazardous materials design consulting services (including, but not limited to asbestos, lead, and pcb) for Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. The project locations will be at the Edwardsville, East St. Louis, and Alton campuses. Services that will be provided by the selected firm will include, but not limited to, the following: project design and preparation of bid specifications; construction monitoring and clearance of abatement activities; and air monitoring. Projects will range in size and scope, may arise unexpectedly, and have a short window for execution. The University reserves the right to award to a single firm or multiple firms.

Only those firms which meet the following qualifications will be considered:
  • Submitted 5 copies of their qualifications.
  • Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
  • Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
  • Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
  • Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
  • There is a BEP goal for this procurement. See solicitation documentation for details.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

This transaction is subject to the State Board of Elections registration and certification requirements of Public Act 095-0971.
