Otto Harrassowitz KG is a German company that provides journals and periodicals, including foreign titles (especially European titles), at publishers list prices, charging no service fees for the majority of titles and only a minimal service fee on a few titles. Other foreign journal vendors charge a service fee up to 5% to cover costs to provide billing, claiming and reporting.
Otto Harrassowitz KG obtains refunds on titles which cease to exist publication, they accept cancellations at any time and forward replacement copies of journals through a claiming process. They provide centralized invoicing for titles purchased and have a set of reports to assist in tracking and projecting expenditures. They provide, and allow access to, a pre-payment account which results in additional discounts to the University on titles purchased.
