the purchase of a Real Time PCR system
to
Applera Corporation dba; Applied Biosystems
for
an estimated $42,500.
This instrument will be housed in a molecular core facility and must be capable of analyzing 96 samples simultaneously. The system is a 3rd generation platform that provides a unique set of specifications. The system must provide user-friendly, specialized, and application specific software that collects and analyzes the fluorescence data for a variety of applicatons, such as absolute and relative quantitation and SNP analysis. It must be capable of detecting multiple colors (4 or more) and use a highly sensitive detection device such as a CCD camera or photomultiplier tube.
