Project Description
The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University governing the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine hereby requests letters of interest and statement of qualifications from Architectural firms interested in providing professional consulting services for various small School of Medicine projects. The selected firm(s) would be used to design small projects that would be funded from appropriations or other University funds that arise unexpectedly and have a short window for execution. The Contract period would be from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2022.

Firms interested in providing such services should be a full-service architectural firm or team and pre-qualified with the Capital Development Board in all the architectural disciplines. The following related criteria will be among that used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection: CDB pre-qualification status, location of firm, adequate staff size and disciplines, prior performance of the firm and its consultants with completed projects at SIU School of Medicine and other State clients, and current workloads.
As part of the submission, each proposal should include a complete description of the history, size and capabilities of your firm and a list of projects which demonstrate your level of experience. For each project, indicate a knowledgeable reference (name, address and telephone number) and a copy of your CDB Pre-Qualification Certificate. CDB255 format is required. Faxed or electronic submittals will not be accepted.
Firms are required to submit their State Board of Elections Registration at time of submittal or submittal will be rejected.
A Certificate of Insurance conforming to the attached SIU School of Medicine insurance requirements must also be provided.
There are no formal RFP documents, specifications, drawings, etc. available for this project. The information provided in this posting and the attachments are the only information that is available.

However, the names of the companies responding to this posting will be read publicly at 2:01 PM on the bid opening date, in the Fruge Conference Room of 327 West Calhoun, Springfield, Illinois. No other information will be released after that date and time until the awardee is posted on the Bulletin website.

- Submitted 7 copies of their qualifications.
- Licensed to practice as an architect, landscape architect, or engineer in the State of Illinois.
- Pre-qualified with the State of Illinois Capital Development Board.
- Registered and authorized to do business in the State of Illinois.
- Utilize an AutoCAD compatible system to provide documents.
- The contract(s) for this solicitation could exceed $50,000 annually.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering, and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).
