for professional services of architect/engineer - commissioning agent.

The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University hereby requests letters of interest from commissioning agents to provide professional services for the Cancer Institute Facility, Springfield, IL. The contractor will provide consulting services for commissioning building systems and equipment for a 41,000 gross square foot clinical, educational, and research facility. The contractor will develop test procedures for building systems and equipment, assist in writing specifications, and ensure building systems are in compliance with construction specifications. The Project Budget is $14,500.000. The following project related criteria will be used to evaluate the commissioning agents requesting consideration for selection: 1) Prior experience with similar projects; 2) Appropriate staff size and disciplines; and 3) Prior performance with firm and its consultants on previous University projects.

Commissioning agents should supply 8 copies of both their letter of interest current CDB form 255 prior to 2:00 p.m. on January 7, 2002

Only those firms which meet the following specifications will be considered for selection: 1) Previous experience as a commissioning agent on governmental projects; and 2) Ability to qualify to do business with the State of Illinois Capitol Development Board.
