The University awarded a contract for professional consulting services to Ms. Barbara Doyle, MA for $8,500.
The services under this contract require Ms. Doyle to develop, design and provide state-of-the-art educational activities on the assessment and treatment of individuals with a psychiatric disorder who also have a developmental disability. The objectives of the School of Medicine is to provide up to ten delivery hours of educational sessions for CME credit; to design educational consultations regarding specific individuals who have autism; and to participate in developing a cirriculum for allied mental health professionals. Ms. Doyle is recognized nationally and statewide for her expertise in autism and autism spectrum disorders. She assesses the communication defecits of person''s with autism and provides individualized education services and treatment strategies to families, providers of services, and individuals with autism. Furthermore, this expertise is unique in the State of Illinois. It is anticipated that this contract will be renewed annually.
