The Board of Trustees of Southern Illinois University governing the Southern Illinois University School of Medicine hereby requests letters of interest and statements of qualifications from architectural/engineering firms interested in providing professional consulting services for the installation of a replacement fire alarm system in the Medical Instructional Facility at 801 North Rutledge, Springfield, Illinois. The Medical Instructional Facility is a four-story, 160,000 gross square foot building constructed in 1975/77.
Selection will be consistent with the Architectural, Engineering and Land Surveying Qualifications Based Selection Act (30 ILCS 535/1).

Firms interested in providing such services should be a full-service architectural/engineering firm or team and be pre-qualified with the Capital Development Board in all the architectural/engineering disciplines. The following related criteria will be among that used to evaluate the firms requesting consideration for selection: CDB pre-qualification status, location of firm, adequate staff size and disciplines, prior performance of the firm and its consultants with completed projects at SIU School of Medicine and other state clients and current workloads.
Please submit eight copies of a letter of interest, a statement of qualifications and a copy of your CDB Pre-Qualification Certificate.
Proposals should include a complete description of the history, size and capabilities of your firm and a list of projects which demonstrate your level of experience. For each project indicate a knowledgeable reference (name, address and telephone number) should be listed.
