Project Description
Work includes mold remediation, handling of existing ductwork, construction of new ductwork, insulation and select electrical work per SIU Project #10016 and BRIC Project #2113-01. Ventilation Contractor will be responsible for bidding and coordinating all work required on this project.

A MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING/SITE VISIT WILL BE HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2009 AT 10:00 a.m. in the Atrium Conference Room, #2195 at 801 N. Rutledge, Springfield, IL. All prospective bidders are required to attend. Bidders will be required to sign in. Attendance is mandatory to submit a bid.

A Second Pre-bid meeting will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. for contractors (prospective subcontractors) that attended the first Pre-bid meeting.

The successful bidder will be required to comply with all laws, statues, regulations, ordinances, rulings or enactments of any governmental authority which are applicable to the work or to the project. The successful bidder shall pay prevailing wages and shall utilize equal employment opportunity hiring practices in connection with this project. The University reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

All bidders must be fully pre-qualified with the Illinois Capital Development Board (CDB) by the date of the bid opening.
