Purchase of a digital PCR designed to perform fully automated nucleic acid absolute quantification for waste water testing services.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for performing sponsored research and other sponsored activities under grants and contracts funded by the sponsor or by sources other than State appropriations. (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b)(8)) Fully digital PCR including software that allows for mid-throughput sample processing, various nanoplate options, multiple detection channels, and high volume processing. This equipment is available and can be delivered timely to meet the research needs identified.
