The estimated total was incorrectly estimated so this award is being updated to identify the estimated cost of 2 sample collections/delivery per week for 150 locations over the 19 weeks of the contract. While the estimated totals are being updated, this does not change the awardee's totals as they bid in their original bid to the University.

The University seeks bids from qualified bidders to provide wastewater sample collection kits throughout the State of Illinois. In addition to providing these kits, the awarded bidder will be expected to:
- Deliver the collection kits to the wastewater treatment plants throughout the State of Illinois
- Provide logistics for delivery of collected samples to a lab for processing (within the time requirements and temperature requirements stated within this bid)
- Sample tracking while in shipment and,
- Design/provide collection kits for unique wastewater collection needs (e.g. sewage access point, campground septic systems).

Wastewater samples collected will be tested for the presence of COVID-19 and potentially other communicable diseases within a community.

As described in Section 1.5 of the RFP, a pre-submission teleconference will be held Thursday September 2, 2021 at 2:00 PM Central Time. Although it is not mandatory to attend, potential respondents are strongly recommended to attend. Please have a copy of the Bid available on the call. The University will review the Bid and highlight statutory requirements for submitting a Bid which can be evaluated. See the Bid for call-in information.
As described in the solicitation, Section 1.4, questions must be received no later than September 17, 2021, at 5:00 PM Central Time. Questions received prior to August 31, 2021 at 5:00 PM Central Time will be responded to on the pre-submission teleconference. All questions should be submitted to Daniel Szajna via e-mail (e-mail provided in the Bid).
