The University awarded a contract for Cordis Enterprise Stent Device and Delivery System to Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems, Piscataway, NJ, for an estimated $860,000.
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the item or service is copyrighted or patented and is not available except from the holder of the copyright or patent. FDA approved self expanding Enterprise stent and delivery system provides a novel closed cell design that allows for more precise placement, better deliverability and is much easier to use with embolic coils. The previous endovascular technology was unable to reach tortuous wide-neck aneurysms.
