The University awarded a contract for Germ-Line Transmission Mice Models.
The College of Medicine at Peoria, for cancer research studies, obtained a significant donation from Caterpillar Inc. and will acquire from Biocytogen germ-line transmission mice models. Biocytogen has the expertise to properly clone and breed the mice based upon specific gene research specifications.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes in the procurement code because
the procurement expenditures are for events or activities paid for exclusively by revenues generated by the event or activity, gifts, or donations for the event or activity, private grants, or any combination thereof.
