The University awarded a contract for comprehensive space program consulting services to Navigant Consulting, Chicago, IL, for an estimated $175,000.
The University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago has received a master design certificate of need (CON) from the Illinois Heath Planning Board to develop a comprehensive facility master plan to ensure the continued support of teaching, research and patient care missions. In preparation for the CON, UIMCC engaged Navigant Consulting to develop a comprehensive functional space program based on the strategic needs. Navigant is a critical partner in ensuring that the strategic objectives, design intent and critical assumptions are conveyed to the architects and engineers during the master design phase. Their continued involvement is required.
This purchase is only economically available from a single source because the
consultant has unique knowledge and specific experience with the current strategic plans of the UIMCC.
