The University awarded a contract for electrical utility services to Commonwealth Edison, Chicago, IL, for an estimated $254,100.
The vendor will provide electrical utility services to the UIC-Mile Square Health Center for the period beginning October 1, 2008 through June 30, 2011, with the option to renew for two additional one-year periods at the same terms and conditions, subject to continuing need and availability of funds.
This purchase is only economically available from a single source because the
public utility service is regulated.
