The University awarded a contract for DxH and Iricell analyzer supplies and service.
Supplies and service necessary for operation of the DxH and Iricell analyzers which perform automated Hematology and UA testing on specimens for our UI Health patients.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) Supplies and service necessary for operation of the DxH and Iricell analyzers which perform automated Hematology and UA testing on specimens for our UI Health patients. This procurement allows the Laboratory to significantly reduce the cost of patient testing and improve the automation of Hematology testing.
