The University awarded a contract for additional modules and continual service of LMS to NetDimensions Inc., Rocky Hill, CT, for an estimated $847,000.
Purchase of additional modules from NetDimensions of their Learning Management System (LMS) and continual software license for three more years.

Since July 2007 the NetDimensions software Learning Management System (LMS) delivers compliance-driven learning to over 10,000 users that deliver patient care within the University of Illinois (UI) Health System, including UI Health employees, physicians and the Health Sciences Collegesâ?? students (Medical residents; pharmacy students, nursing students). As UI Health has grown and the healthcare marketplace has changed, we have experienced new challenges that need to be addressed. We are confident that our partnership with NetDimensions is the economically feasible way to work for a solution to these changes.

These additional modules will be obtained via having NetDimensions flip the switch to make accessible these modules in the system. In other words the system integration has the capacity to provide the additional modules to appropriate users by expanding user access. The additional modules contain: â?¢A unified workforce tool that assists in: oAssessing current talent oOnboarding processes oSuccession planning oDetermining and managing talent development needs oManaging the talent development process oDelivering learning oDeveloping retention strategies oManaging performance oAssisting in the development of learning strategies oGuiding organizational business decision processes oLocating employees with special skills/experience/expertise â?¢Better talent pool identification and assessment of internal and external talent. â?¢Identification of flight risks, key/critical roles, difficult to fill positions, organizationally defined single points of failure and management of strategies to meet these ongoing talent needs. â?¢Improved staffing and business decisions as it relates to talent acquisition, development and position movement across the organization. â?¢Increased new hire employee satisfaction. â?¢Increased employee engagement, retention and development. â?¢An increase in overall company earnings*. â?¢Reduction in the number of employee skill gaps. â?¢Decreases in external hiring needs due to an increased internal skillset that may meet the needs of the identified role.
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the compatibility of equipment, accessories, replacement parts, or service is a paramount consideration.
