The University awarded a contract for EyeMD EMR Healthcare Systems to EyeMD EMR Healthcare Systems, Inc, Bonita Springs, FL, for an estimated $338,617.
Purchase from EyeMD their certified EMR Healthcare System software uniquely designed for Ophthalmology specific electronic health records.
EyeMD EMR also provides a full, working interface with Cerner and PROSE DFT at no additional cost. The interfaces will provide fluency between each individual system allowing them to share critical data with ease, thereby meeting the Medical Center's documentation needs as well.
Opthamalogy has fully vetted EyeMD EMR as both a software system and as a company for the past 2 years. After evaluating all other options and completing our internal research, we are confident that the EyeMD EMR solution is the absolute best fit for our unique needs and that there is no other system on that market that can offer comparable features.
The University has determined that this purchase is only economically available from this source because the compatibility of equipment, accessories, replacement parts, or service is a paramount consideration.
