The University awarded a contract for Au and DxI series analyzer supplies.
Supplies necessary for the operation of the AU series and DxI series analyzers and automation line which perform automated chemistry and immunoassay testing on patients? specimens.
This purchase is exempt from the usual selection processes of the Procurement Code because the procurement expenditure is for medical supplies or medical services necessary for the delivery of care and treatment at medical, dental, or veterinary teaching facilities utilized by SIU or U of I (30 ILCS 500 / 1-13(b-5)) This procurement allows the Pathology Laboratories to upgrade equipment to improve testing processes, result turnaround times, and test offerings for our University of Illinois Hospital patients.
