The University awarded a contract for medical device integration.
This Cooperative purchase is made in accordance with 30 ILCS 525, 30 ILCS 500/25-15(b) and 44 ILL. Admin. Code 4.2036(e).
These devices provide medical device integration from the medical device (Patient monitor, ventilator, infusion pump, anesthesia machine, etc.) to the patient records where medical decisions are made using the data. this also plays a huge part in patient safety by accurately and properly documenting vital signs data instead of manual documentation which leads to medical errors. The PIC is a Central Station monitor. This is a medical device used at the central station where the patient is admitted and placed on a sector. It is connected to each bedside monitor so the patients vitals can be seen and the nursing central station and used for patient alarms and parameter settings.
